Avril Baker

I have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling from the Centre for Personal and Professional Development. (CPPD courses are accredited by BACP - British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I have also trained in Imagework with Dina Glouberman at The Skyros Centre, in bereavement work at the North London Hospice and in cognitive behavioural therapy at the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and registered with the UK Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics.

Counselling sessions, usually take place weekly, on either a short-term or open-ended basis. I am only working online now and can offer sessions using zoom, skype or FaceTime. I provide a safe and supportive environment in which you can look at anything that is troubling you – whether in your current situation or from past memories and experiences – without the fear of judgement and without the intrusion of someone else’s opinions and needs.

My experience includes working with issues of low self-esteem and confidence, bereavement and loss, drug and alcohol use, recovering from abusive experiences, stress-related problems, anxiety and phobias, and depression.

Tricia Collins

I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor (Adv Dip Couns) and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. In addition to working in a variety of community based counselling establishments, I have extensive experience in the Mental Health Sector and the Criminal Justice System.

Counselling is an opportunity for you to explore and express thoughts and feelings that may cause disruption or negativity in your life. Sessions take place in a safe, supportive and confidential environment, providing you with a space to enhance your self awareness, improve your well-being and find ways to cope with the pressures of life. Or simply to talk to someone and to be listened to.

We can focus on past experiences, present day events and the future. I am here to encourage, empower and facilitate you on your journey, not to pass judgement. I believe that everyone regardless of their difficulties or backgrounds, has the ability to reach their full potential.

I offer short and long term counselling in the following areas: Bereavement and Loss, Stress and Depression, Eating Disorders, Relationship breakdowns, Substance Misuse and other areas. Sessions also take place on a Saturday (concessions available).
